On average, I will personally do 1 or 2 every week, but the total amount of shoots done in-house is closer to 5.
How many shots we get out of the shoots depends a lot on what kind of shoot it is. But I edit my images very tightly, and sometimes we will only get 50 images from an entire shoot, and sometimes it will be 100. I tend to favor quality over quantity, and I don't like to have too many similar images.
I don't like having shoots filled up with 500 similar images. I had this a lot when I first started out, but today I cut my shoots a lot more because I think the overall expression of the shoot is much better and stronger when it consists of a few excellent images instead of hundreds of OK images. I always save all the images that are not selected, however, so if a client wants something slightly different from what I have online, I'm almost always able to find something within the stored files and folders.
