What should I pay the models?

Hi Yuri

First of all thank you very much for sharing your Know-how. Thats so very helpful.
I'm planning to become a Microstock Photographer. But I don't have any ideas how much I shall pay to a model.
How was things in your beginnings?

Thank you very much for your answer.

Hi Benjamin.
No problem. I like to share. :)
I always pay my models a fixed price up-front. Their fee vary a great deal depending on their modeling skills, and I often try to find great natural looking models who are fairly cheap. When I first started out, I shot images of friends and acquaintances and the pay was not very high, but people thought it was funny to see their face different places and it was a fun experience for them. Today, most of my models are professional models booked through model agencies, and they often have a fixed price depending on what shoot I am interested in doing with them.
But I'd suggest that you find people who like being a model and offer them a fixed price which is fair for both you and them. Some models are quite expensive, but there are so many people who would like to model for free or for a very low fee.

Hope this helped.
Wish you all the best of luck.
Best Regards Yuri Arcurs
