Can I obtain exclusive rights to an image?

Hi,

I found a lovely photo of yours over the internet.
I'm wondering if it is possible to obtain exclusive rights to it? (Perhaps for a defined period of time)?

I'm unfamiliar with how this would work. So if you have time, I would certainly welcome and appreciate your input.

Hi Lisa,

I'm afraid we are not able to transfer the exclusive rights to you for all images available on the site, so it depends on what specific image you are referring to.
We can't do it with our non-exclusive images as all these images are already distributed to so many different stock sites that it would be virtually impossible to make 100% sure that ALL images were removed.
We are, however, able to offer you a 99% buy-out, and you can read all about it here: http://peopleimages.com/support/licenseAgreement/99buyout

If this is something you are interested in, you can choose the 99% Buy-Out license option for all non-exclusive images. The amount of work required to manually remove the image from all stock sites to which we submit our images is huge, and we have to take this into account. Because of this the price can often be quite high.

If the image is exclusive to PeopleImages.com you will be able to chose the Time-Exclusive license agreement. This will allow you to stop the image from being sold within certain period of time. You can read more about this license here:
