Will airline and travel-related imagery sell well?

Hi Yuri,

Hope you have time to answer this. I follow your blog and appreciate your contribution to the photo community.

I work in the airline industry and because of my role in this workforce, I have the opportunity to shoot a lot of airline/travel-related imagery. In your opinion, is this something that would sell?

I have the ability to shoot from the cockpit, (in flight as well) on the ramp, cargo being loaded onto planes, terminals, hotels, etc.

Reading your blog, you emphasize branding yourself and offering a unique perspective or look that buyers can identify with. So, I'm hopeful that this may be a category that has demand and perhaps would be a worthwhile venture for me. I'm trying to find low cost ways to enter this field and would appreciate your opinions or ideas on this matter.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff

Yes, this is very rare content! This is content which will have a very long shelf-life, as it is very hard to come by for people who do not work in the industry or have connections to it.

If I were you, I would definitely also do a little research on what objects might be good to shoot from the air. For example, great beaches, lakes, boats and things like that. These are things that sell extremely well.

Good luck with it!

Best Regards
Yuri Arcurs
