Cropping off people's shoulders

Many of your photos of people isolated on a white background (such as the one attached) have one shoulder cropped off and the opposite side of the image nothing but white space. I understand this is to allow for copy, but I am fully capable of cropping photos myself, and adding as much white space as I need in Photoshop. I am not necessarily capable of drawing in a new shoulder if I would rather not shove the person off to the side of the page. I wish you would stop photographing people with their shoulders cropped off, because doing so drastically diminishes the usefulness of the image. The only reason I bother saying this is because your photos are fantastic, and it's frustrating to see an otherwise perfect image become useless to me because it's been unnecessarily cropped.

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback, it is always good to hear what our clients are looking for and we will take it into consideration. Whilst we really wish most of our clients had your level of skill in terms of editing, they unfortunately don't :( So almost all our images cater to the general market for ease of use with minimal need to make changes to an image.

If one day you come across an image you really need to have without a crop, we do offer a custom retouching service where we can quote you on rebuilding a shoulder or the top of a head, etc :)

I hope you have a lovely day!

Warm Regards,

Michelle
